Chad is a Burke County, Georgia, native and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. While in college, he worked in engineering and operations for Georgia Power Company through the Cooperative Education Program and also served in the Georgia Army National Guard. After college, he worked as an electrical engineer for Talquin Electric Cooperative in Quincy, Florida, and attended Florida State University. He has been working in real estate sales and investments for Shivers Real Estate since 1995. Chad is a Blue Lodge Mason, Scottish Rite Mason, Shriner, member and past Board member of the Central Savannah River Land Trust, Board member of Pinetucky Gun Club, and a member of the Greater Augusta Association of Realtors.
